-7 days to departure
A few things...
First, it seems the email subscription feature is not working. I've heard from more than one reader that they are not receiving updates in their email inbox. I am now using a different subscription box. Please re-enter your email address and go through the verification procedure. Hopefully, it will now work.
Second, I was in Orlando with family over the weekend. We were there for one of LouElla's three-day volleyball tournaments. (Her team did very well. They made it into the gold medal bracket. They started the event seeded 33rd out of sixty-five teams from around the country. In the end, it looks like they placed 9th. A very good move up the ranks!) I tried to write a blog post last night but our hotel wireless was intermittent and unreliable.
Third, Xane returned home for spring break Friday. He will be home for eight days and then our West African adventure will begin with a full day's travel from Tampa to New York City to Accra, Ghana to Monrovia, Liberia. Stay tuned.
Fourth, and most importantly, the biggest preparation we need to complete prior to the trip is funding. We have, as of this writing, met exactly 1/3 our funding goal. Now we have one week to raise the final 2/3
