Nuts and Bolts

-13 days to departure

Here we are less than two weeks from departure. Today was all about the nuts and bolts of the project. The little details, the practical details.

What did I learn today?

I now know...

The address of the Liberian Consulate in New York City. This is where our visa applications go.

The name of the Vice Consul General in the Liberian Consulate. This is who the applications go to.

That my bank charges $5.00 for money orders and this is how you pay the Liberian Consulate for visas.

How to pay at my local Walgreen's for Xane's yellow fever vaccination at the Walgreen's in McMinnville, Oregon.

That FedExKinkos opens at 6:00 am and their last shipment out is at 7:00 pm.

That Liberia is five hours ahead of the Eastern Time Zone.

That the weather in Monrovia Liberia tomorrow will see sunshine and clouds mixed, a high around 85 with winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

That finally we have to hand one of the most important documents we need to get to Liberia, Xane's yellow card, or the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis.
