-6 days to departure
My wife is an excellent massage therapist. Part of her job description includes meeting new people and making new friends. She never knows who she'll meet. Today she made an appointment for an evening massage with a new client. As fate would have it, this new client not only had heard about our Liberian project, but she was also a contributor to our GoFundMe campaign. She now knows about this blog. (Welcome new friend!)
We plan on discovering many more happy coincidences like this one in the next six days. We want to meet many new people who have both heard about the project and supported it.
The preparation step of top importance at this time continues to be completing the funding of the project. As of this writing, we are nearing the halfway point of the baseline funding amount needed to make this project a success. (Reminder: we will be on the ground in Liberia in less than a week!) Over the last few days, we have spoken to dozens of people, sent out scores of emails and posted links on hundreds of social media pages all for the purpose of drumming up support for funding.
If you are reading this and you have supported the project funding, thank you. Much appreciated. As a next step, please send the GoFundMe link to ten friends and friends of friends, it would be very much appreciated.
If you haven't yet supported the project funding, please do. Every dollar helps. You can also send the link to ten of your friends and promote it on social media. This too would be very much appreciated.

Xane and I received our return package from the Liberian Consulate this morning. Both of our passports are now stamped and notarized with very colorful Republic of Liberia Visas. Another step complete.
